As new interns, we've all been there: arriving in such a huge and exciting city and feeling a bit lost, almost overwhelmed by all the different areas, and pubs and clubs and cuisines...So this time we decided to leave a trace of our experience here, from departing interns to arriving interns, hoping this will help you enjoy the city and the job at RAI Corporation as much as we did!
Please note: if you are looking for any informations about your visa requirements, insurance and housing (all of the "institutional" stuff), please refer to the New Intern Guide and FAQ sections of the site.

What's the story? This is not just an expensive department store. The windows, especially the ones on Fifth Avenue, give shape to monthly-themed street museums, with refined compositions mixing fashion designers' creations and many hurban artists' visions. What's the story? Open 24/7, Cafeteria offers a good various menu with excellent prices. But it's brunch time the best moment to enter this diner, able to combine the flavors of the traditional cuisine to a hurban and modern style. Often used as a setting for serials such as Sex and The City and Gossip Girl, the atmosphere is quite sophisticated, but still confortable and not too posh. Suggestions: Build Your Own Omelette, Silver Dollar Pancakes, Eggs Benedict and Apple Pie Ravioli (why not, with a side of perfect Dirty Gin Martinis and Mimosas).

Then, you are ready for a lovely Sunday in one of the best areas in Brooklyn.
What is it? Pub / bar (don't forget your ID!)
Where is this place? 484 Union Ave., Brooklyn, NY
How do I get there? Take the Brooklyn bound L train to either Bedford Ave. or Lorimer St.
What's the story? One of the first places we've come to know and still one of the very favourites! This very peculiar bar features a main area where all kinds of drinks are sold (and it's cheap!) and people chat and dance to some favourite '60s-'70s classics (from The Beach Boys to The Rolling Stones), but it's better known for having a super neat patio on the back with its own little pond. Here you can get a breath of fresh air if the place gets too crowded (and it does!) or maybe a little shower (because yes, you'll want to stay outside even if it's raining!). Also on the inside, look! an old photobooth! Prepare to stand in a line to get in, but then you'll happily go home with a very cool and unique souvenir :)
